Membership group The IPG has launched Trade Local Day to encourage tradespeople to buy from independent bathroom showrooms and plumbing stores.

Taking place on September 9, the national initiative has been designed to encourage fitters and plumbers to purchase locally, from The IPG members.

According to the membership group, Trade Local Day is a movement, created to ensure local businesses thrive in a competitive market, strengthening the local economy and creating a connected community of tradespeople.

Over 130 showrooms and stores will participate and offer a variety of activities for tradespeople, including exclusive deals, discounts, competitions and giveways.

There will be workshops, covering the latest installation techniques, product innovations, and business management tips, as well as product demonstrations from suppliers, offering tradespeople hands-on experience.

Plus, The IPG brand ambassador, Mark Millar will be hitting the road and shining a spotlight on some members of The IPG.

Among the Trade Local Day participants are East Grinstead Bathrooms & Kitchens in West Sussex, Glenfield Bathrooms in Leicester, ESP Bathrooms in Preston and Bathrooms at Source in London are among the independent showrooms taking part.

Check out all the participating bathroom showrooms and plumbing shops, with the activities planned at each location, on the Trade Local Day website and share experiences on social media, using #tradelocalday24.
