The IPG, the industry’s largest and fastest growing membership group for independent plumbing, heating and bathroom specialists, unveil its brand-new website, following five successful years in business. Founded in 2013 and based in Littlehampton, The IPG works closely with industry-leading suppliers to deliver unparalleled support to its members. Founded on the belief that independent merchants should have a better voice in today’s competitive market of larger industry merchants, The IPG is over 200 member locations strong and continues to achieve immeasurable growth.
The IPG’s website, features a brand-new homepage, ‘about us’ and ‘news’ section, as well as a dedicated online hub exclusively created for The IPG’s members and suppliers. With ‘supporting your local independent’ a key focus for The IPG, the website (naturally) also features a new and improved location finder, enabling tradespeople, DIY aficionados, and members of the public to be able to locate their nearest independent IPG merchant store.
The unveiling of the website carried an extra weight of importance, as it comes just under a year after The IPG began to offer its own website support for its members, adding ‘online’ to the list of already extensive member benefits, including financial rewards, marketing initiatives, and networking opportunities. The new addition sees The IPG helping to bring its members businesses online, with a view to increasing sales and in-store footfall, with the creation of a professional, mobile-friendly, and customisable website service to its merchant members.
Nike Lovell, Head of Marketing at The IPG, said: “We’ve been working on the design of our new website since the beginning of this year, working closely with our IPG technical team, as well as the designers at Creative Pod, to create a website that truly reflects what The IPG does. I’m pleased to say we’ve accomplished that; it’s been a real team effort!
“Websites have come a long way since their induction and are now commonly the digital shop front of many businesses and often the first port of call for customers trying to find out more about the store they are visiting ahead of time. Having a strong online presence, and an easy to navigate website, is so important for a business, and as of last year, I’m incredibly proud to say that’s something we can now help our own members with. At The IPG, we’re 100% committed to supporting independent merchants across the UK and continuing to spread the message of how we at The IPG can help to champion their businesses. Our new website, I believe, does just that.”
Matt Turner, CEO of Creative Pod, an award-winning design and marketing agency based in Crawley, said: “Working with The IPG on this project has been a great opportunity, as by working on their own member websites, The IPG really understands the importance of a high-quality website. We are thrilled that they are happy with the results.”
